The Junior Wall Street Parent Workshops
Live Financial Education for Your Family - Four 90-minute virtual classes led by Annaline Dinkelmann, former Morgan Stanley professional. Leave with an account opened, a workbook matched to your child, and a script for the first money conversation.
Why This Workshops Exists
Most parents want to teach their child about money. Most parents were never taught about money themselves. That is the gap this workshop fills.
The Junior Wall Street workbooks teach the child. The workshop teaches the parent - how to open the account, what to say in the first conversation, and how to handle the questions their child will eventually ask that they themselves were never given an answer to.
This is not a finance class. It is a parenting class about money.
- A custodial account opened in your child's name, with a starting balance
-
A workbook sequence matched to your child's current age
-
A script for the first money conversation, written down, ready for tonight
-
A clearer sense of your own money story and what you want to pass on
-
30 days of email access to Annaline for follow-up questions
What the Workshop Covers
The workshop runs ninety minutes, live, in small virtual groups of 8–12 parents. Annaline teaches. Parents ask questions in real time.
1. The Four Account Types
What a UGMA is. What a 529 plan is. What a custodial Roth IRA is. What a Trump Account is - and what to do about the one launching July 4, 2026. By the end, you know which account to open and why.
2. Opening the Account
Step-by-step. We do it together in the workshop. By the end, your child has an account that exists, with a small starting balance, in your child's name.
3. The First Conversation
What to say to your child when you tell them the account exists. The script is age-specific - different for a five-year-old than for a twelve-year-old. We rehearse it together.
4. The Workbook Sequence
Which Junior Wall Street workbook to start with, based on your child's age. How to pace it. What to do when they get stuck or bored.
5. Your Own Money Story
Before you can teach your child about money, you have to know what you were taught - and what you want to do differently. We work through this in the small group. Most parents don't see this part coming.
Who Should Take This Workshop
The Parent Workshop is for parents and grandparents of children ages 4–14 who want to teach the child themselves rather than outsource it to an app or a brokerage's free content.
